The Harrison County WV Historical Society is a volunteer-based nonprofit that engages with the community by preserving, collecting, educating, and demonstrating the history and culture of Harrison County and North-Central West Virginia. A priority goal of the Society is the conservation of the Stealey-Goff-Vance House in Clarksburg and preservation of historic property, archives and collections and to make them available to the community through displays and educational activities. The HCWVHS archive contains the collection of documents, photos, and other items of historic value that are carefully preserved on behalf of the community.
