WVAM is a membership organization for museums and related cultural institutions, and includes all museum disciplines, including history, art, natural history, science, and technology. Individuals interested in or affiliated with museums and related cultural institutions are also encouraged to join WVAM as individual members

WVAM serves to facilitate the exchange of information and services among these institutions, their personnel, and their supporters.

WVAM provides support, advocacy, and educational opportunities for its members.

WVAM encourages public interest and support of the broad mission of museums and related institutions in West Virginia.

The institutional membership level is for a museum/institution that plans on sharing membership privileges among its personnel. Membership fees for institutions are determined by the number of people who will have access to membership benefits.

The Museums of the Mountain State is a statewide museum pass that offers discounts to visitors at participating museums and institutions across West Virginia.
INDIVIDUAL
Individual members enjoy full membership benefits for one person. The individual membership is suitable for volunteers, fulltime students, retired professionals, independent professionals, friends and trustees of museums, and other individuals who have an interest in the museum sector.
